Why do we struggle amongst eachother, when the big picture is staring us in the face, why dont we Love instead of hate, I ask of you the reader, why? If there were no borders in the world only one country proclaimed as the "world", and then would there not be anymore fighting? If everyone was Independent, and they all cared for one another. Wouldnt the world be better

I say this to you, I ask you these questions, because the fact of the matter is, is that we all argue, we all have our differences, we all debate for what we believe in, but is what we fight for reasonable, and what do we actually get out of it? For example "Religion" There has been debate, killing, corruption, and hate created around this word, when it's true meaning was Love, and to care for eachother. As in the middle east there has been fighting and war for centuries, but there has been no outcome but death. I am only a Teenager, and maybe I dont see the bigger picture yet, but why fight, and argue amongst eachother

I for one admire you Jake. Your question was a serious heartfelt but yet intelligent question. As you get older and the bruises of being an adult I'm afraid so much of your kindness and superiority of reasoning may dwindle. God Bless you man, your thoughts are so inspirational and carry me back to the years of my youth. 2:00 pm and I'm actually have nice thoughts and all I can say is THANK YOU. I could go on and on with sarcastic remarks at you but I can't think of one. Thank you again Thomas and I pray You always keep the kind intelligent and PERFECT reasoning and someday become a leader that will make major changes to humanity. I'm not trying to be silly, I'm serious , it's minds like yours(and America is short of them) that make great leaders and actually change society.

As a young person it is only natural for you to feel as you do. But I ask you to consider the many positive things which result from human passions. People argue because they hold passionate beliefs, yet this same human quality also drives people to do great things for mankind. The duality of human nature finds justification and rebuke in one simple word: passion.

Yes, if human nature were completely different, human beings could all live together in peace and harmony. That's a pretty big 'if.' For instance, you wonder if there were just one country, would people stop fighting eachother? Obviously not, since there have been civil wars throughout history. Erasing borders doesn't erase hostility, in fact, it often inflames old hatreds.

Don't worry, you'll become more cynical as you grow up.

I think you have a pretty good scope of the big picture. I find nothing to disagree with.

you are correct , you don't see the big picture . It would be great to live in the world you describe but there is no such thing , until we get rid of the things that are seperating us we will never live in peace . religion is the main thing

You're right. You are a teenager and don't see the big picture yet.

The Religions need to teach tolerance, and practice it.
