Actually yes. I always use PC's, but when it comes to stuff like web design, graphic design, music, etc. a MAC is the best thing that you can buy. Don't get me wrong, PC's are good as well, but to make a PC good for things like that you have to install the software yourself, and most of the time buy it. It comes standard on a MAC, for example iTunes. PC's are built more for word processing and spreadsheets and are meant to be used on large networks. A MAC is definatly a great personal computer though. You could even use a linux PC as well, because linux is free and comes with a program called Bluefish made for web design, and GIMP for graphic design. At this point I'm rambling on. I hope this helped and GOOD LUCK!

Any computer is good to do webdesign. It just depends upon your own expertise. I've done entire websites on MS notepad, mostly because I was at a jobsite and had some time to kill. If you're already familiar with code, it really doesn't matter what you use to build a site from.
