in 13 feb. 1945 Dressda was destroyed. There were 135000 civil victims, and gen. Harris wasn't responding for this. How was Germany accused by aggressive war, accused by Russia who was planning with Germany the way of war. Why not procreating an Iraq trial who adjudge Bush and Blair for war crimes ??? (and Korea, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, Iraq.................)

My personal opinion is that the war was harder and harder after Pearl habour and the invasion of soviet union;

The states had lost all sort of compassion and cruelty rech summits never seen in history

All the leaders of seconwar in both sides should heve been submitted to trial and hangged

In fact each war is a crime

why do you insist on asking a question like this?

go look up pictures of jewish victims and it will completely answer why. you will not be able to look and will most likely throw up.

and to answer your question it was to teach the nazi's a lesson and also to teach the world a lesson so noone even thinks of making a uprising like this.
