My brother and I have been arguing lately over who is the greatest basketball player to play in the NBA. He thinks it's Kobe, but I think it's Jordan. Who do you think???

This is an enormous no-brainer.

There is simply no comparison. Jordan was the best player to ever set foot on a basketball court, period. He made the players around him better and when the money was on the line, he simply did not fail. Kobe is...a nice player.

So on the court, it is no contest. "In the locker," MJ was a solid citizen who would never do anything to hurt his team. Kobe has not even come close on this score.

Michael Jordan any day of the week and twice on Sunday. Jordan was much more of a team player than Kobe is. And, Jordan has proven that he can carry his team to a championship, while Kobe has not.

definitely Michael Jordan. He is the best to ever live. Kobe is not a team player and does not pass the ball.

I would take a 30 year old Jordan over a young Bryant.

MJ - better all around player and the next person that Kobe defends will be his first.

why you ppl say kobe won 3 ring only cause of shaq? if kobe wasn't ther shaq wouldn't win either so i dont see your point. n dont tell me that MJ won 6 ring by himself cause he got more help than kobe n shaq did. MJ had alot good player to help him thats one thing you ppl dont see.

well if i had to choose it will be hard but ill go for Kobe cause he's a bit better score than MJ.

i'll take kobe now over like a rookie mj because kobe today in comparisson to young mj is a proven winner at the nba level. moreover kobe now is much more refined as a player and has the ability to do it all. now if u asked mj in prime or kobe in prime id take mj but b/c its young mj vs kobe in prime i go to take kobe.
ppl may say kobe won with shaq but let me remind u all mj didnt win a title till he got scottie.
that hurts to say to b/c i hate kobe.

the situation with this team is that, to be helpful, all of them want the ball of their palms lots. They score off the dribble lots. Lebron is a stable passer, and DWade too each and every from time to time. yet i think of a team with greater circulation with the ball might desire to easily beat them. Magic Johnson, bill Russel (who does not want the ball to be helpful because of the fact of his protection), Oscar Robertson, Then people who can shoot and unfold the floor Larry fowl, and Reggie Miller. Oscar Robertson may be the only participant in the historic previous of the NBA who might desire to journey up with Lebron in length and quickness. bill Russel won exceptionally much each and every journey-up against Wilt. and everybody here performs stable, trustworthy protection. This team might desire to in all risk win a properly-reffed pastime.

i'd rather have MJ anyday. kobe is such a loser, not even the grizziles want him. yes, it took MJ seven or eight years to win a championship but kobe still and always will suck.
