I want to buy some movies today, but I have no idea what to buy!
Any movies like Donnie Darko or Thirteen would be nice.
I like disturbing movies, but NOT scary movies. I HATE scary movies.
I'm not really into chick flicks. Like I've never seen The Notebook or anything.
But anyways.
Any movie suggestions are appreaciated. :]

Pan's Labyrinth. You have not experienced film making at its finest until you have seen this movie. It is gory and very disturbing and completely amazing and heartbreaking.

AND WAY TO PROMOTE DARFUR!!!! It's terrible that so many people don't know what's going on over there.

I agree with the first reviewer. Pan's Labyrinth is amazing and disturbing and gory in some spots and just frankly unreal. I LOVED it and I don't like disturbing OR scary. I own it, even. FABULOUS.

It is a subtitled movie, though, if that bothers you. After the first ten minutes or so, you no longer read the words, you just absorb them.

Reservoir Dogs and Boondock Saints are both great, as well.

When you say "Thirteen", one movie that comes into mind is called "KIDs"... crazy azz movie.
It's not too modern but it's a way to see how other people suffer from getting aids in the suckiest way possible, and these kids develop their characteristics based on their everyday life on the streets of new york (i think). This is definitely better than "thirteen" when it comes to the reality of it.

I would suggest the movie "Pi" ( but the title is the mathmatical symbol - it's a very good thriller.
"Blood Simple" is also a good thriller.
