There are discs on the market referred to as music/audio CD-R's.

Like these:
Memorex 30-Pack 40x Audio CD-R Discs with Slim Jewel Cases
Model: 15407030
"Each audio disc records up to 80 minutes of music or stores up to 700MB of data in any stereo-component-based CD-R recorder. 1x-40x write speed compatible."

Your best bet is to down load " Audacity" it is a programme especially for copying and converting cassettes. What is does is first copy ( record ) your cassette in its own format then you can store it in MP3 format ( you need an add on for this but Audacity finds it for you then you accept it and after the first time all is automatic ) Once you have MP3 you can then burn them as Music CD's with Nero or something and there you are, it is easy after a couple of times.

So just type in http://audacity.sourceforge.net

Nearly forgot, its all free

It sounds like you have a stand alone cd audio recorder. These units need music cd-r's.
