Given that the NBA finals are right around the corner and the fact that basketball is the second most popular sport in the world, how many people outside the USA will tune in to watch Lebron take on the Spur's big three? Also, which countries do you think have an especially large NBA audience?

I figured no one watched the NBA in Canada, but I've heard Basketball is big in Europe and South America.

- China have a large audience, they have NBA office over there. China is the world populated country, does make sense. LOL.
- If the Rocket is in the Finals then 3/4 of Chinese will watch. That's more than the whole US & Canada all watch together. Hahaha.

Fans from across the globe can watch every game of the 2007 NBA Finals.
It will be broadcast to 36 stations in Asia/Pacific /Middle East; 13 stations in Europe and 5 stations in Latin America. It will also be available Live on NBA.com for select parts of all of these areas.
I figure with the current teams in the finals more viewers will be watching from Europe and Latin America this year.

Put it this way: In Canada, the Toronto Raptors average about 150,000 to 200,000 TV viewers per game (one game was as low as 70,000). The further you get from Toronto the fewer people care about the NBA in Canada.It barely makes the sports section of the newspaper outside larger cities. You can bet the numbers for the playoffs have dropped even further.
By comparison, the average NHL hockey game draws between 1.5 million and 2.5 million viewers in Canada (that's with a population of about 30 million).
