Ladies, I have a first date today, with a girl I met last semester at school. What shoes should i wear?

I'm driving us down to the ocean, to hang out on the beach for a few hours and eat dinner at a restaurant on the beach later tonight. I'm wearing some tan cargo shorts and a blue polo shirt. Check the pics and let me know... also, should I wear my shoes the way they are in the pics... loose with the laces tucked inside, or tie them up? http://good-times.webshots.com/album/559118567AQCGNs

my clothing advice is to wear exactly what you're planning on. tan shorts and either a polo or a long sleeve button up shirt with the sleeves rolled up (unless it's too hot where you are). good job on that. if your going to the beach wear some sandels/flip flops. don't wear sneakers.

I know that in men, shoes are the first impression, so you probably want to make a good one. Be yourself, but be comfortable, if you feet are well taken care of, you can use sandals, some nice ones, there are plenty of fancy Italian or Mexican ones on the market. Closed shoes are a sign that you are not comfy with your feet. If you have time go to a foot spa or a podiatrist to get some help in case you have athlete's foot, calluses or some other thing. Well cared feet in men are really sexy. Check out the link provided, the pix show slide sandals and other, those are good examples of what I am talking about. You can find those in a good shoestore, but make sure they are leather. If you are going to walk on the beach then choose flip flops so the water won't damage the leather. I would wear the darker ones with the laces tucked in. Since you guy's are going to be walking along the beach and in the sand, it will show less on those shoes.

White shoes with cargo shorts doesn't look bad, but I just think the brown shoes would look better.

But flip flops would look better on the beach. I was just choosing from the choices you gave.

I like the nikes w the blue swish I think..loose w the laces on the inside!Oh and something that would look even better for the beach is a nice pair of leather flip flops!

these shoes are perfect don't wear sandals that's so ghetto than you'll be wearing it at the restaurant. I live in hawaii so we wear shoes to the beach but the difference is we go to have dinner first and then beach

Wear the shoes that weigh the least. [ #2? ]
This summer, invest in some nice [brown or black ] leather sandals and some [ black or brown ] flip-flops!
Try to keep shoes and shorts/jeans/khakis/slacks in same color family -
brown shoes with beige, tan, or brown; and black shoes with gray, navy, or black.
Don't wear shoes that are super puffy with anything but slacks! [ unless you are playing basketball ]

If it is a fancy restaurant then ditch the cargo pants. If it a casual restaurant then you will be just fine. Good luck!!

u should tuck ur laces in it is in stlye right now. also i think that u sould wear something more beachish like, a yellow colored shirt and so plaided shorts.
it would look awsome and this is from a girls point of view........
