What color shoes should I wear with a navy blue summer dress?

The dress is navy blue and on the bottom has a two inch band of canary yellow and also white. I was thinking brown? Thanks!

Brown will look like you don't really have any shoes to match. Go with navy, white or yellow. The yellow would be too cute.

For a navy summer dress, get white or red sandals or peep-toe pumps. Both will enhance the dress rather than "bringing out the colors". White is classic whereas red is dramatic. It just depends on what look you're going for.

NO brown. NO black. Navy might work but unless it's a complete sandal would look much too stuffy and hot for a summer outfit; stick with light, bright colored shoes to play up the summer-y feeling of the dress.

You should wear navy blue shoes, or depend on how much white is in the dress you could do a very strappy white shoe that would be cute, NO BROWN! Also depending on the dress you could wear flip flops if they are cute ones, that have some of the colors in the dress in them. Good Luck!

I would wear yellow shoes it will bring out the canary yellow band on the dress. They should be strappy sandals with a 2-3 inch heel.

The dress sounds adorable and therefore deserves new shoes. Myself, I hate white shoes on adults that are dressed up. White shoes are for sports only in my opinion. If there is a DSW near you try the Clearance section near the back. There are always great shoe finds there. The next step is to get a matching purse. It must be done!! There is nothing more polished looking than a matching (or at least coordinating) purse and pumps.

Well i would just do some blue navy shoes just to be safe
but you could also try yello or white or brown or maybe even tan i would have to see a picture of what the dress really looks like to tell you.

I saw a pair at Payless that had that hemp like wedge, with navy blue peep toe canvas, and the navy blue ribbon that wrapped up around the ankle and tied on the back... adorable!

I would wear flip-flops that are yellow or white. Taking a color that is small, like the yellow or white, can emphisize the color, making the outfit wounderful.

Bright yellow If it's solid blue make sure to accessorize with a necklace or braclet that matches shoes. It's what I did and received many compliements.
