Is it okay to be goofy here when you have to be serious in the "real world" ?

I think its OK to be goofy if the question is goofy but too many people answer serious questions very childishly & I don't think that is approriate. I mean sure i know some people try to make light of the situation but others are just being ignorant and hurtful with all the ridiculous sarcasm.

Yes, no one should be serious all the time! It's good to have an outlet.

My husband is a HS teacher and when he comes home, he can be so goofy, but he's been so serious all day, he needs a release!

I have an admission to make ...

I'm only serious in Two kinds of situations:
1) If I can see that someone's really upset and I realize that any attempt at humor will only make things worse.

2) If Jack Bauer says it's a matter of National Security.
