False. It's called the scientific method. The experimental and control groups are divisions of subjects within the process itself.

False. The process scientists use to perform research is called the scientific method. The scientific method studies a change in results associated with a change in an experimental variable. A "control group" would be a regularly functioning group whereas an "experimental group" would be a group with ideally ONE thing different from the control group. Science will study a hypothesis they have between the two groups and attribute whatever results they find to whatever variable was different between the two groups.
