You may find people like that in college but I think that you will have a better time fitting in when you go to college. It sounds like you are interested in biology (any of the life/natural sciences). That's awesome. I know how frustrating it must be for you to be around girls that talk about the 'girly-girl' stuff and not having anyone to talk to that is more interested in the intellectual aspect of life. High school is lonely for a lot of people but it does get better when you go off to college. Of course, you will probably come across some of the same kinds of girls in college. You know, the ones that are more concerned about their looks and finding a guy to marry when they get finished earning their college degree. There are all kinds of people at the college level and you will probably see them in your general education courses (the courses that all students have to take). But when it comes to the courses for your major, that should be a different story. You will find people that are interested in the same things as you or some other area within the same discipline. Good luck and hang in there.

A surprising number, particularly in the field of entertainment, have English degrees. But it is all over the place, especially depending on how widely you cast the net "celebrity". Paris Hilton is a high school drop-out, Conrad Black has a decent academic training in History.
