It depends on what I 'm looking for. If I can, I go to both and usually shop at both because some items are cheaper at one, some aren't. As far as helpfullness goes, and knowledgeable staff, Lowes.

Lowes because I have stock that is not doing so well with the housing meltdown. The real reason is that I like Lowes better than Home Depot and so do most of my friends.

well around here Lowes is closer but if home depot is cheaper I would go there. Why spend more and the same stuff is what i say.

Lowes,here where I live they are across the street from each other and the wife went in both before deciding Lowes is better.My wife is a wise woman.
