That's the beauty of music, you can do whatever you want in terms of how many bars, verses or choruses there are. Unfortunately, all pop and mainstream music like to do the same old "verse, chorus, verse, chorus, bridge, chorus" routine that runs within 4 minutes long. Do whatever makes the song seem right to you.

There is no LAW in the format in a song, there are many variations, but common songs you might hear on the radio often have 2 verses, one chorus (repeated 2 or 3 times) and a bridge, often placed after 2nd time thru chorus. Listen to the radio and hear for yourself. Have fun with it!

Sounds like you want us to write a song for you. First write your lyrics. Then try to break them up. If you are doing a 4/4 time. Try 8 counts a bar for your verse. 4 counts a chorus $ count bridge. Blah blah blah. I am really just pulling this from my ***. You need to sort this out yourself. And it is alot easier To words to music.

16 bars, and the chorus about 3 or 4 times.

There are no rules. Write what you feel.
