CRT is Cathode Ray Tube and is a type of monitor hardware now being replaced by LCD, plasma, etc.
VGA (Video Graphics Adaptor) is a resolution standard set by IBM for personal computers (after character only and CGA) for a specific number of pixels across and down which can be displayed on most hardware. The size is now the lowest acceptable standard, with SVGA (super VGA) being far more common and more resolutions above that usually available.
