Hideki Matsui LF, NY Yankees is in the second year of his 4 year, 52 million dollar contract. He has a "no trade clause". I have heard rumors of Matsui being traded to Los Angeles, but I do understand that uninformed baseball fans and media make up these things from time to time, to sound like they know inside info. I am wondering if anyone has heard anything about Matsui being interested in a trade? Since only he can authorize any transaction.

That's not happening. Matsui is a solid fielder and a good left hand batter. The Yankee are not giving him up for nothing less in return.

i've got consistently enjoyed Hideki Matsui simply by fact he works problematic. yet his physique is breaking down and he's in simple terms no longer stable anymore. with out Matsui, the Yankees' thoughts are open to many loose brokers. Manny could be a danger. Holliday could be o.k..

I have not heard anything on a possible trade for Matsui. He's a good defensive outfielder and a good line drive hitter and can't believe the Yankees would by trying to move him.

Nope haven't heard anything about them trading Matsui. Yankees are rumored to be close to swapping Abreu for Jermaine Dye.

Will not happen -
and...
Chicago is not close to trading Dye for Abreu. This is just a rumor - and the Chicago papers are not even printing it. It will not happen.

Even if he agrees to a trade, who's going to pick up his contract?
