sheep skin rugs may not quite do it
get some regular area rugs - there are some that are absolutely gorgeous and great shapes............stay with the wood.

I have wood floors and love them but you need a little more than sheep skin rugs. You need an area rug. I know it sounds crazy to spend all of that money putting down wood floors just to cover them but if you don't you get the noise. The other thing that will absorb noise is drapes and fabric (non-leather) furniture. Good luck.

Hard wood floors are beautiful. I have them throughout the house. But I added oriental carpets on top of them and they not only look great, muffle the sound and the floors don't seem to show the dust as much any more.

Wood floors are soooo much better than carpet. Icky things collect in carpet and they are harder to clean. Stick with the wood. There are a ton of different area rugs that will help with the noise and look good.

Carpet or Wood is a personal choice. Only you can decide what's a good idea since you are the one who has to live with the outcome.

Hardwoods are a real big selling point to people. Plus they are really great if you have allergies. I would keep the hardwoods and put down area rugs.

I just bought a townhouse with wood floors. They are great. Much cleaner than carpet. Easy to care for too.
