Imagine your family is there enjoying the vacation with you. Take pictures and make plans to share them with them when you get home. Write a journal with stories about your days activities - look forward to telling everyone you love about all of the excitement & fun you had.

Enjoy Greece DAMMIT! When I was younger I used to get homesick from being away, but what ALWAYS made me feel better was the fact that I would be going home in a few days or weeks, whatever the time frame. Enjoy what that new country has to offer. Write letters back home, keep pictures of familiar faces around. You'll be just fine. Remember it's TWO weeks, not TWO YEARS. You'll live, I promise. So enjoy yourself and don't stress.

What I do doesnt take all the homesickness away but it helps! I have like a journal with all sorts of stuff in it. Like signatures of my family, and pictures of home and stuff I like! I think it helps! I also bring a stuffed animal to put on my bed and it makes it feel like my cat is right there! You will probably be really busy and enjoy yourself more than getting homesick! Hope I helped!! Enjoy your trip!

I use to get homesick when I was younger and find myself getting homesick when I leave my husband the first couple of days. I would take things that would remind me of home, pictures and such. Get a calling card and don't be afraid to call home if you need to. Keep yourself extremely busy so you don't have time to obsess about being away. When your enjoying yourself you won't have time to think about home. Along the day everywhere you go take pictures that you think people from home would enjoy and gift that way you are making them part of your trip. Have fun girl!!!!! Take deep breaths.

Bring a few things from home that will make you more comfortable. I always travel with my teddy bear. Granted, I'm WAY too old to do that, but he sits on my bed at home and when I'm away, I like to see him. :-)
Take some pictures that are in your room or something small that will warm your heart.
Or, just think! You are embarking on an AWESOME opportunity that not many people have a chance to experience. When you get down in the dumps, think of all the people who would love to do what you're doing, but cannot. Pretend that you have to enjoy it for everyone who cannot go!
Have a safe trip!
