Why do you feel you will lose her? If you really want to be close to her you can begin with being friends. Your devotion and helpfulness will really touch her heart one day and she may respond positively unless you are totally opposite of what she cherishes.........Give it a try and good luck.

Sounds to me like you have a case of stage fright, it is an art form talking to women. If you love them you have to tell them, if you don't any moment she might find someone else then you will walk away with a broken heart which is in the top 5 worse things that can happen to a person. It is better to try and fail than to be too late! Tell her how you feel, rejection won't kill you, it will be a learning experience, believe me. Like professor Hoyle says "think long thing wrong"!

It's tough to answer this without knowing your age.
If you're 16 this is perfectly normal. If you're 40 you need professional help.
Since I'm not a professional, I'll take the safe route and presume you're around 16.
If so, all you can do is stumble through it, pal. You may lose her but it'll teach you how to snag the next one you fall in love with. That's life.
