I am scheduled to be induced in 2 days. I am already 3cms' and 50%effaced. I Had my membranes stripped yesterday. There is some bloody mucous snot(mucus plug assuming?) and I was just wondering what yall think of the chances that I am going to go into labor before my induction?? I heard that I should do everything to try NOT to be induced since it can hurt more and more of a risk of a c-section???

40weeks and 3days pregnant with 2nd son:)

Everyone I know that has been induced ended up having a harder delivery and/or a c-section. Your baby will come when they are ready! Unless it's medically necessary, just wait.

From what my doctor told me when I was induced...it is just as normal as you going into labor yourself. There is no higher chance of infection and it doesn't hurt more...and there is just as much a risk for c-section as laboring natural. If your doctor feels it is safe to make you go into labor then it is safe. I was induced with my daughter and everything went perfectly fine. Labor only lasted 6 hours and then 3 pushes later she was hear, happy although crying and very healthy! Congrats and good luck. Just let what ever happens happen!!

Having a child naturally is always better than being induced. Run around and do alot of cleaning to put some stress on yourself. If you are already 3cm why would they want to induce you it sounds like your body is going for it by itself, but very slowly.

Chances that your going to go into labor before your induction all depends. When i was pregnant with my twins my doctor stripped my membrane on the 13th of November but i didn't go into labor until December the 3rd. It all depends.

You could very well be going into labor and I would avoid being induced if you can.

This can help jump start labor if the baby and your body is ready.

Salad with Balsamic vinaigrette dressing

Spicy meal

I swear this works, hands and knees scrubbing the kitchen floor and bathroom.

Sex, Sex, sperm contains a chemical that induces labor.

Good luck and God bless your baby!
