Sore nipples is just one of many symptoms you can experience with pregnancy or menstruation. Not everyone has this, however. I have had 4 babies and never experienced nipple or breast soreness with any of my pregnancies. Additionally, I never had sore breasts or nipples with my periods either. I am now 48 and have been experiencing several new symptoms surrounding my periods which my doctor says are most likely due to the hormone change of pre-menopause. Breast tenderness is now something I have with my periods.

Yes it happens with both although in my case my breasts were so sensitive during the first half of my pregnancy I couldn't were a bra.

It does not mean you are pregnant.

If you take a home test a neg reading can be wrong but a pos reading is positive.

Good luck!
