You didn't hear the whole news.
Honda ACCORD Hybrid is being discon'ed. Honda only managed to sell 25000 of them last year, despite being first to market with a mid-sized hybrid sedan (ahead of Camry Hybrid).
The problem with Accord Hybrid is that they chose the V6 to be mated with the batteries. While V6 used more gas and thus can save more gas, it also made the car that much more expensive. The Accord Hybrid has a cost somewhere in the Acura territory, and while it is the best performing Accord yet, you don't buy an Accord for acceleration, but as a reliable people carrier.
Now where's the CR-V hybrid, Honda? Or a Ridgeline Hybrid?

Not all of them.
They're discontinuing the Accord as of next year but keeping the Civic and they should have another smaller Hybrid model that comes out in the next few years.

Yup its gone thanks to very low sales. They do still have the Civic hybrid and if you wait a until early next year they have a new Insight which is very similar in size and looks to the Toyota Pruis. They say the Insight will be the cheapest hybrid on the market so it will be about $20-21k since the Pru is starts at around $22k.

No I haven't heard it either. The Civic Hybrid is a big seller. The Insight? Don't know. I believe you have to order those since they aren't very common and I've never seen one at the dealer. However, you can still buy one.

Mainly because Honda hyped it as being fuel efficient, and gave inflated numbers as to economy. The consumers found the mileage they actually got was no where near what Honda said it would be, and took them back to the dealer to be 'fixed' and were told "Your mileage may vary" as a standard answer, it upset the customer base. So they are going to come out with another, be more honest and stop selling that dog that won't hunt.

I just heard today that the Accord's sales last month were less than 500 units where as the Prius was something over several thousand. Too bad, nice car.

They aren't. They're discontinuing the Insight, because it's been around a while, and is getting kind of long in the tooth (it also doesn't sell all that spectacularly compared to their other cars). They're replacing it with a new model.
