It's going to be more than $5.oo, actually- on my plan, it's $5 a month for 250 texts, and then like 25 cents a text after taht, which really adds up if you text a lot. Maybe if you could show your dad responsibility by taking an after-school job to help pay for the cell phone bill, he will let you get texting back, since you'd technically be paying for it.

well you could go with the 9.99 plan from cingular which gives you 200messages to anyone on any carrier and unlimited within in the cingular network (those would not take away from your 200) (messaging starter with unlimited mobile to mobile)

or you could go with the new cingular unlimited plan where you can have unlimited messages incoming and outgoing for 19.99 a month (messaging unlimited)

take your dad to this page
http://www.wireless.att.com/cell-phone-service/services/services-list.jsp?catId=cat1470003&LOSGId=&catName=Messaging+and+MEdia(TM)+Bundles&_requestid=107966

that way he can look at all the options that cingular offers and it will look like you did some research into it.

if you are not going to be doing a lot of texting you might even be able to got with the 4.99 plan that gives you 200 messages.

if you go with one of the smaller plans (not the unlimited) offer to pay the difference in the chance that you do go over.

or if you are going to go with one of the unlimited plans but dad will only pay for the basic 4.99 plan offer to pay the difference in the two plans.

hope this is helpful!

No chance. Maybe you should get yourself a satellite phone with laser activated remote sensing space shuttle communicator. That should only be a few grand. Yeah it's not easy to get back your texting.

it is more than $5.00 honey. You have to buy a plan first, then it is $5.00 more to get unlimited texts to only other ppl with cingular. But you should just pay for the txting yourself.
