I am so disappointed with the eyelash curlers nowadays. Revlon made a great one in the 70's and 80's. It was the same as the one the have now BUT it has a little rubberlike coating on the upper part of the curler. THis is what keeps the eyelashes from falling out of the curler!! I have recently contacted Revlon to ask if they would make them with the rubber coating again and they said NO!! I wish I could make them myself but luckily I still have the one I used back in the day. So I don't know what to tell you, except "Do you know any scientists??"

Everyone says shu uemera but personally i think they're a bit pricey at 18 pounds, especially as u only get 1 replacement pad and have to replace them every six months. I was gonna get some but to be honest the price put me off. I got these Mr Mascara ones (from boots) the other week and they're really good. They were 6/7 pound but you get 6 replacement pads so they'll last ages. Hope this helps. x

Back in the 80's I had a Revlon and then in the 90's I changed to Shiseido. Both are really good.
One thing to think about is how easily you can get the refills - the Shiseido ones are a pain to try & find.

I have a lancome one, but it's kind of pricey, another great one is revlon and it's affordable. There are also plastic eyelash curlers that are great too, if you don't like the metal kinds.

most eyelash curlers are the same. make sure you are using it correctly and if it doesn't work it may just not work for you. try using mascara that curls lashes

ooh, their are some a merle norman that are heated just a little, so its like and very low temp curling iron for your eye lashes and it wirks wonders, or,

if you just have a regular metal one, run it under hot water or hot air from heater or hair dryer to heat it up a little, curl, then apply mascara.

that what i do every day and it works amazing :]
