Libby goes to Jail Hooray! But what about the person that outed Plame?

Isn't he walking around free and under no indictment? If the charge of outing Valerie Plame isn't serious enough to warrant charges, why is it serious enough to get Libby thrown in jail?

He 'lied' to a grand jury. So did William Jefferson. He obstructed justice. So did William Jefferson. What is the difference?

Actually the prosecutor knew who "outed" Plame during the first few days of the circus. Since she was not "undercover" revealing that she worked for the CIA (which everyone knew anyway since she drove to CIA headquarters on a regular basis) was not a crime. He was not under indictment because he had not committed a crime. Mr Libby was convicted of lying about his memory of something that was not a crime. There was no one or nothing for him to "cover up". It was all just a media circus.
The difference between Libby and Jefferson is that Jefferson was involved in a crime.

The person that outed Plame is not under indictment due to Libby doing his job to lie and obstruct justice to protect the criminal.

W Jefferson will go to prison for a lot longer than Libby if he gets convicted of soliciting bribes.

Libby's lying under oath ended up most likely covering up the identity of the man who actually outed Plame. So, since he essentially jumped on the grenade for the Bush administration, he's now going to have to take the consequences.

Libby was the pawn for the Bush administration and took the fall. Just like Oliver North took the fall for the Reagan administration. He will be pardoned and rewarded at a later date. Just watch.

Who? Karl Rove? Cheney? Libby took the fall for the Bush administration, that's why he's going to jail and they aren't.

Jefferson is a democrat. They get a free pass, probably because they had a bad childhood or were picked on.
