It wouldn't be a bad idea, but Hispanics know their way around a kitchen....they most likely wont have too tough a time understanding what you want on your sandwich!

It probably would not hurt to know a few of the basic words of Spanish especially in relation to the deli operations but I would hope they would learn a little basic English to aid in the communication effort.

You should make picket signs and walk up and down the street in front of the deli. If that doesn't work, learn Spanish.

si..ask them for a "rollo con mantequia"..(i think that's how it's spelled)..that's a buttered roll..or huevos con queso (which is egg and cheese)..and i think that's about all i know in spanish (food wise)..or arroz con pollo..which is chicken and rice..
