when u say download do you mean when i double click on the artist or video, it downloads into my computer

Nope, but most of the things like downloading music are illegal. The program isn't illegal itself, though.

Limewire in itself is not illegal however if you download copyrighted content without paying for it (remember Napster awhile back) you are breaking the law

The software itself is not illegal...but if you use it to share and/or download copyrighted material (music, movies,etc)then that is what is illegal.

limewire is not illegal, it is merely a peer to peer network for sharing files. Downloading copyrighted material, such as copyrighted mp3s and such IS illegal, and you could potentially get into legal trouble doing so.

LimeWire itself is not illegal, but if you use it for illegal purposes (downloading music/videos/etc. that you do not own), then your use of it is illegal.
