Insect are small creatures than us but we advance human come from this small creatures. Talking about the breathing action of insects they do breath but with different organs but not like us say lungs. Insects they breath by green gland or by trachea, or many other kinds of gland which help them to live alive. So insects do breath.

Yes, even the tiniest of ants breathes. Insects have varying forms of respiration systems. For instance check out how the grasshopper breathes:
Respiration is performed using tracheae, air-filled tubes, which open at the surfaces of the thorax and abdomen through pairs of spiracles. The spiracle valves only open to allow oxygen and carbon dioxide exchange. The tracheoles, found at the end of the tracheal tubes, are insinuated between cells and carry oxygen throughout the body.

Man, tough crowd.
Yes they breathe but they have no lungs. That is why they are limited as to how large they can get. They breathe through their skin
EDIT: In fact, sentrynox has everything i wanted to say. He's right

no they do not breathe in the same sense as mamals would but rely on the body area to volume ration top allow oxygen to diffuse throught their skin. unlike more complex organisms such as mamals they do not posess a transport system capable of transporting oxygen around the body therefore diffusion across the thin cellular membrane is their only means of respiration. (osmosis is the movement of water across the membrane.)

Yup, But they have no lungs. Blood absorb oxygen through skin (osmosis effect), and it is why they can't grow over a certain size, as such osmosis effect would not be enough to oxygenate the whole organism.

Of course they breathe. Respiration is one of the characterisitcs of all living things. Or did you pay as much attention in biology as you did in spelling.
