resignation? can someone tell me why? they have him on video accepting a $100,000 bribe and then TRACED THE MONEY TO HIS FREEZER? what is wrong with the democrats here, or the media, are they insane or what? why dont they admit that he is a criminal and kick him out of office? a republican in his shoes would have been executed by now! the double standard is just sickening!!!

gun, i am talking about the fact that they are defending him, not what other people have done. i am talking about how the media and the democrats protect him but when a repub does something wrong, the tar and feather him and ask questions later!
YOU are defending his actions by bringing up the actions of others. typical of what i am talking about.

Yet the DEMS re-elected him too.

What are you, high? Dick Cheney shot an old man in the face last year and when the cops showed up, he told them to come back the next day. There was never even a full investigation into the circumstances of the shooting, when anyone else would have been hauled off to jail. There's no double standard, except for the one between politicians and the rest of us. No matter which party they belong to, they all get away with things that normal people would spend their lives in jail for. It's not about party lines, its about the ridiculous amount of power and amnesty that we give to all politicians.

He should be censured and if convicted, expelled. Check your history: Rostenkowski and Jim Wright are just two of many Democrats who left under clouds of shame/investigation - and from Democratic-controlled congesses. Rosty did jail time, in fact, after being the 3rd most powerful man on the Hill.

It's all politics. "It's all right if we do it, but definitely wrong if THEY do it!" Did you ever read any of the commentaries made by our esteemed elected officials after they voted not to impeach Bill Clinton? Heck! Teddy Kennedy got away with murder and has never been called to task. That we as a people are so incredibly stupid that we keep re-electing these baffoons, speaks volumes. Doesn't it?

It takes time, he was duly elected, they already removed him from his committeeship...out of the 8 congressmen currently undr indictment, 7 are Republicans, read a little bit more little man...
actually, if you had a brain not clouded by propoganda you'd realize that it takes time to fully remove a congressman that is duly elected but you can take away his committeship, which renders him ineffective, which they did. my point on the second sentence was that if it is easy to remove a congressman, wouldn't the Dems have removed the 7 republicans with legal issues...
