these people dont know what theyre talking about. Yi offensively is pretty good. an extremely agile 7 fter with a nice shooting touch with range to around 20 ft. he has tons of potential which is why they say he could be better than yao ming, though it is hard to compare the 2 because they arent the same height or play the same position. defensively is where i have my concerns about Yi. im worried that he isnt strong enough yet, im worried he can get pushed around by nba guys much like yao was when he first came to the nba. and if he bulks up, would that affect his mobility and agility? but nonetheless, i dont think Yi is a top 5 pick like some people make him out to be, but i definitely think he is worthy of a lottery pick.

He's a project who will need a few years to develop. He has length and athleticism, but lacks experience. His U.S. agent Dan Fegan has been very careful in scheduling Yi JianLian's workouts. He's more interested in getting him on the right team, rather than getting him drafted at the highest spot possible. I'm not sure if that will work (I have seen teams draft players they didn't workout) but Yi JianLian could be the third best prospect in this year's draft. Or he could be a draft bust.

I think a team that runs a fast-paced offense and uses its athleticism is most suited for him. A team that runs a half-court offense and expects him to post up in the low block will be disappointed in Yi JianLian.

He's more Nowitzki than Yao Ming. I think he'll adjust quicker to the American culture and gameplay than Yao which will speed up his development, but I doubt he'll be as good as Yao. Although it took Yao some time to adjust to the NBA, he had more upside than Yi JianLian does.

He has some solid potential to be a strong force in the league. People can't compare him to Yao Ming because he's half a foot shorter and a different type of player. He draws more of the Dirk Nowitzki type comparison because of his ability to shoot very well from the outside. That's the kind of player people see him as...like another Andrea Bargnani. Should be exciting to see where he goes in the draft and what he's able to do from there.

Well, I happy to see more foreign players joining the NBA, but I think Yi Jian can play but at the beginning I dont think he can keep up with NBA pace. He needs to bulk up more, unless he is mentally physical like Garnett. He does remind me of Bosh, which thats pretty bad....

no longer quite, he has shown that he isn't any longer ajusted to nicely to the NBA %.. despite if he have been given a competent shot fot a huge guy, he has issues interior and could possibly no longer rebound. He even have been given benched interior the midst of the season for Charlie Villanuava and has been there ever because enjoying basically approximately 15-20 minutes a evening. i think of he will flow returned to homestead quickly according to possibility after this 365 days or next 365 days

He's supposedly been labeled as potentially better than Yao Ming. Noone really seen him he's been in the China League. He'll likely be drafted #3 so we shall see shortly just how good he is.
