We are trying to conceive. My first day of my last period was April 13th. I normally have a 26 day cycle. I should have started my period on May 9th, but I didn't. A week later, I spotted very light brown for 72 hours (that's NEVER happened before, EVER!). Now, I should have started yesterday, and didn't.
For the past 5 weeks, my cervix has been pointing down, and soft like a bottom lip. My temperature (normally is 96.8) has been staying between 99.0-99.8, for the past 5 weeks. My boobs ache and throb, but not at the same time-mostly-it's like they take turns. I have taken a couple of OTC tests that were negative, the last test 2 weeks ago.
What now? Anyone have any ideas?

you should probably talk to your doctor.

I would test again, making sure to use first morning urine. You don't have to buy an expensive test, if you have a dollar tree or such nearby you can get them there. If it is still negative you should ask your doctor.

Now, don't forget, you can ovulate earlier/later in your cycle than you did the cycle before. If you got sick, travelled or were really high stressed, ovulation may have been delayed. Your body will keep trying to ovulate, but can keep being delayed for a number of reasons.

With your cycle being this late though, in my opinion, I would go to the doctor and ask for a quantitative blood HCG test since that test would give a specific number for your hcg level. Some women just don't have positive urine tests for quite awhile into the pregnancy.

Good luck!!

Go to you obgyn and have a blood test done. If you are pregnant its only a few weeks and some people dont produce alot of the hormone the urine tests test for at the beginning of the pregnanct.

Take another test, it sounds like you are. Is your cervix high? I heard that that's suppose to be a sign??? Go to your doctor to make sure if you still want to know. I wasn't for sure that I was when I went to my doctor and now I'm 5 months!

It sounds like baby time!!!!!

Sometimes the tests can be wrong. It reads a hormone level that women have when pregnant, but every once in a while it can be wrong, that's why the test is not 100% accurate!!!

Good luck!

I'd say go to your doctor. The doc can give you a more accurate test and determine what could be wrong if you're not pregnant.

some women don't show positive on hpt, call your dr for a blood test. Its very likely you are pg!! Do you feel any heaviness in your pelvis? thats usually the first thing I notice.

Test again (use your 1st pee of the day) and if it's negative call the doc for a blood test.

you need to go to the dr asap!!! you might have had a miscarriage, hopefully not, but that is what happend to me whne i did, they had to do an emergency DNC on me, or i would have bleed internally to death. Go see your DR!! You could just be having pains because you might be preganant, but it is always better to be safe than sorry

TEST again, if you are not pregnant, keep trying... if you do not start your period in another week, see your Dr.
