ABSOLUTELY!!!! It's gotten to the point that most people don't even bother reading anymore. Rather, they watch television or else they ask other people for the information they want instead of doing the homework themselves.

Technology may make it easier to accomplish tasks and reduce our cognitive load, but in order to become efficient at using technology we must learn it over time. Because technological innovations are indefinite, we must constantly learn how to be proficient users and most likely, teach others how to use technology as well (such as our parents!). Can you explain how to take and send a video with your cell phone? If so, you have a skill that only a fraction of the world's citizens do. It's worth noting that this particular skill is not adaptive to our survival!

On the contrary-technology is an awakening of the brain, whereas in the past you learned from others.

I think technology is making us loners and people who spend a lot of time on the computer treat the computer as their buddy and ater on in life have interaction issues both at work and at home.

They did a study of internet millionaires and found that though they were extremely successful, they had issues of relating to others in an emotional and personal way and a lot of them are still unmarried and will probably stay that way.

I would say yes! With the invention of Spellcheck people cant spell anymore With calculators that do every complex problem imaginable, no one knows how to do math anymore. With online dictionaries, translators, atlases, people dont know how to use libraries, real dictionaries, thesauruses anymore. And if you dont know a word, its not a big deal, Google it and in one second youve got it, but you dont retain it because it took no time to access it, thus you know if you need to know it again, you look it up again. I think technology is destroying our memories of math, and english, as well as making us far to lazy. Kids no longer go outside to play with other kids, they get online to play in virtual play rooms with other kids. We dont go outside anymore, we sit inside and play our XBOX 360 Nintendo Wii and PS3. We have 500 channels of TV, but nothing worth watching, just making us lazier and fatter. People are getting divorced because all they do is play online games like WOW and EverQuest, they are so absorbed in a technological fantasy world they cant live in a real one. Technology is great, when used correctly and in moderation...but we have taken it to far.
