Our church is looking for a new CD to listen to while the pastor gets his mic turned up etc. This is a REALLY modern church, and the pastor wants something that "rocks". I think upbeat and light would be good too - somewhere between Switchfoot and Pillar. Any suggestions?

I think that you should go with Switchfoot! They are the best band in the whole wide world! They came out with a CD last year in December i believe the day after Christmas. The CD is called Oh! Gravity. and not all of the songs on the CD are hard rock, so i think that it will be the best thing to go with. or if not then you can try Phil Wickham, Chris Tomlin, DSM, Jeremy Camp, or Relient K.

haha u could play Divine Judgement my Hatebreed. u should listen to it and see if that would work. u said he wanted somthing light, but y not get those old granny's heads bangin to this song. it actually has some points that ur pastor could make a sermon over, like when things go so terribly wrong, people think, "How can this be the work of the divine." its part of the lyrics. its the best i could do...wait u should put on Jesus of Suburbia or Saint Jimmy. those songs rock.
