d=sqrt( (-5--3)^2+(2-4)^2 )
=sqrt(4+4)
=sqrt(8)
=2sqrt(2) or 2.828

The difference in x is 2 and the difference in y is 2.Squaring each, we get the square of distance between the two points as 4 + 4 = 8 and the distance is sqrt.8 = 2sqrt(2)
