The kids are all grown with kids of their own. It means tons of company and I'm trying to get settled in the new digs.

It would be perfectly OK because it is your birthday although your kids may feel bad that they can not see you on your birthday. If something should ever happen to you that is the one birthday they will remember and perhaps feel sad about it. Why don't you tell them you have plans and allow them to see you briefly earlier in the day or visit them for a short time. I know I would be hurt if my mom asked me not to see her on her birthday.

I think it is fine, it is you birthday. I didn't want a party or anything this year and it was great and two years ago I worked in the yard it was wonderful. I didn't get any presents though which was the downside.

My Mother is the Same way. STRESSED. All the time she doesn't want anything major going on. So Heck its your Birthday, it shouldn't be your last, Have at it.

Spend it how you want. Just remember that little ones get excited about every ones birthday, including mom. Don't let them feel bad.

It's appropriate... but, it's a nice day with your kids should really be sort of a remedy.. I think that could help you out more than anything, they are your children.
But if it will stress you out even more, then it is your birthday... spend it however you please.

Tell them that some friends from the bondage club are coming over this year for your party.
