I'm a staunch democrat so when I say the following statement don't take it as me defending GW by any means. I think that GW is the weakest president that we've ever had, but i also think that GW the man, thinks that his destiny is to save the world. Honestly, if you look at how he approaches things, it's with a "I'm going to get them" type of attitude. It has nothing to do with the office he serves in, but rather what he perceives his place in history to be.
As far as staying out of other people's affairs, if they interfere with the US's financial stability that will never happen. Why do you think we're not heavily involved in places like Africa? Nothing for the US is being threatened!

I'm guessing you have never served your country. You don't seem to get that is better to take the fight to your enemy rather than be randomly attacked on your own soil.
Maybe you have forgotten that radical Islam started this war way before we got involved. They have been teaching their children to hate and to kill Americans for decades. They have preaching that the fastest way to heaven is by killing women and children who don't worship Allah.
I have no plans to switch religions, nor to elect a Muslim to lead our country. Our president is doing the right thing. We are engaging the enemy on his soil so that we don't have to fight fight him here.
