Well lets see, Lebron has led his team to the finals and Kobe is crying about his team... hmmmmmm.......

Lebron for sure. Lebron has a better image than Kobe. Kobe is not a team player, but Lebron is. Lebron sets the example for the entire team whereas Kobe does not. The only thing Kobe is very good at is hogging the ball!

I quote MARCIA C. SMITH

While Bryant complained about the Lakers failing to build a championship team around him, his NBA contemporaries have prevailed.

While Bryant vented and flip-flopped on radio shows, blogged on his Web site and made himself the Lakers' squeakiest wheel, others garnered greater respect.

While Bryant sunk before our eyes, they climbed in our opinion.

Don't LeBron James, Tim Duncan, Dwyane Wade and Kevin Garnett seem much more admirable now than they did a week ago?

We listened to Bryant gripe about being the Lakers' one-man show. Then we witnessed Cleveland's James solo blockbuster, fulfilling his "King" hype and delivering to Cavaliers to their first NBA Finals.

In Thursday's Eastern Conference finals Game 5 against the Detroit Pistons, James scored 48 points, including his team's final 25, in the Cavaliers' 109-107 double-overtime victory. He ignited the Michael Jordan heir talk while burying Bryant's 81 points — the second-highest single game total — deeper in NBA history.

So why worry about Kobe? We have James to celebrate.

I quote Paul Oberjuerge

You think you have it bad? Surrounded by mediocrities, burdened by inept management, asked/expected to hoist a team all by your lonesome?

LeBron is in the same fix.

Except he's just lugged his team, the Cleveland Cavaliers, all the way to the NBA Finals.
LeBron James just threw down a gauntlet. At your feet.
LeBron does some things you, frankly, can't do. Even if you were generally considered the league's best player, until a few days ago.

He is bigger than you, and much stronger. He is a better rebounder.

He turns it on down the stretch when you're running out of gas and banging the front of the rim. The Pistons seemed almost afraid he would hurt them when he was going to the basket; you don't inspire that sort of fear.No.

He seems to make his teammates better, and that's not something you've ever really figured out. Seems as if you have only two modes: "Getting my teammates involved" and "shooting on every trip."

You're saying you need help. That you can't do it alone. But LeBron is four victories away from winning an NBA championship with Sasha Pavlovic in the starting lineup. And if he and the Four Dwarves who suit up with him pull that off, beating West monster San Antone ... well, you might want to reframe your rants.

Maybe along the lines of, "If I were as good as LeBron, and I think I am, I'd make the best of a bad situation. I would rise above it. And bring everyone with me."

The gauntlet is at your feet. Will you pick it up? Can you show you can lead a batch of Average Joes to the finals? Only your legacy is at stake.

kobe by far as of today. lebron is young and needs to prove some things before this becomes a debate. right now, lebron has the better attitude, but could be because of a better situation with his team. kobe needs a better team or lighter conference. i do give cavs props for beating detroit. im almost to the point to where i wonder if the nba finals are rigged. j/k

tough call, but Kobe is the man. Lebron is great, but still has some time until he gets to Kobe's level. It's scary, as good as Lebron is right now, to imagine how good he will be in his prime
