There is probably a log but I doubt that they care. It would only be looked at if there was a court order.

Internet Service Providers know every site you visit but, it is against the law for them to divulge this information to any third party except, in the case of a criminal investigation. The Act of Parliament which protects internet users is the Data Protection Act. The method Internet Service Providers use to monitor all Internet Users is called Clicktrails. Do a search on it and you will find a lot of interesting information

They don't know exactly what you download/upload. This is theoretically possible but due to the amount of information is not practical to track.
They generally log the types of traffic being used, addresses etc but not usually the actual content.

Generally speaking I believe that they do not themselves monitor what you upload/download. But thats not to say others arent. IE fake files have been put on file sharing programs like bittorrent to capture the IP addresses of people trying to download illegal files.
Hope this helps.

Everything you download/upload goes through your service provider servers. So yes they know exactly what is going on.

it depends on the mirror from where you are downloading or uploading .
service providers do get to know about your ctivities on the internet but they don't generally care if it is not too serious or intended by somebody. Thus they actually can get to know about your donloads and uploads but they don't eventually notice it and thus we can say that they don't know..........

They can make a good guess as they can see WHERE you connect to.
lots of downloading on unusual ports and IP's = P2P = Theft
Lots of downloads from IP that referes to www.dirtyvidz.net = Divorce case looming when caught
