The last company I was at didnt. We had to stagger our lunches so the employees worked out a tentative lunch schedule at the beginning of their shift. It really just depended on who wanted to go first. When one came back, another would go. It worked out. I'm glad we didnt have a fixed time because sometimes you're not hungry at that time and would prefer to wait an hour. If that was the case at my previous company, you could just say you wanted to go to lunch last. It also works because if you go someplace for lunch, its not oer run with people on their break. Another company Ive worked at before had a fixed time and if you just went to the convenience store youd spend half your break just standing in line.

nope... if i want to take a lunch (as opposed to just skipping it and getting paid overtime) it can be whenever I need to and as long as it needs to be. only thing is if it's going to be longer than 45 minutes i have to let the boss know. i work for a very small company that gets away with this kind of stuff.

No, it is very flexible - some days none at all, sometimes an 11:30 AM breakout can lead to an all-afternoon delight. As long as it balances out and the work gets done, nobody complains.

Yes because my "company" at the moment is two little grandkids that will insist on lunch shortly.

I know this isn't the company you meant but thought the answer kinda fit the question.
