Hitler tried to cover up and destroy any records of his family roots...speculation is that their was some Jewish heritage in his background...His sister was either afraid of him, or afraid he would stop giving her a comfortable life in the big houses, etc. she became accustomed to that he provided...
One thing I have always wondered...Hitler declared that the "Aryan" look was blond and blue-eyed...Hitler was anything but...and in fact looked as though he were Jewish...why then would he idolize that Aryan "look"???
That time in our history was a horrible time. There is a wonderful (but old) movie called "Judgment at Nuremberg" that is an awesome and riveting account of the Nazi criminal trials after the war...it is a true story..compelling and informative...it is a movie everyone should see (along with Schindler's List and Sophie's Choice) to understand what went on during the German occupation.

I'm not sure why so many people are speculating on why he killed himself. The end was nigh...it was that, or it was death at the hands of others. He took the coward's way out, but it was really the only sane thing he ever did. And yes, he would have killed anyone who got in his way--but there is a flaw in what you're asking. If his whole family were Jewish, he'd have to then kill himself, as he would also be Jewish. He apparently did have Jewish blood. But who cares? My issue with Hitler has never been "Hitler" per se; it's always been the followers. He could never have done any of it alone. The lesson to be learned from Hitler is never blindly follow anyone. Without the public's support, Hitler would be a non-entity.

If they were Jewish, it's unlikely Hitler would have blamed them for everything the way he did. In fact his alcoholic, abusive step father was Jewish, and just reinforced little Adolph's hatred. And the sister died long before Hitler's madness became evident. She committed suicide with Adolph's pistol while he was at work. He came home to find her dead. The man was seriously messed up, and really would have been a pitiable man if he hadn't been such a monster later in life.

Hi,
Some studies show that Hitler did not exactly have all of his marbles in his nogin (mental i mean) . He had a Jewish uncle, i think. He probably would have, he was neglected as a child and i suppose wanted to kill everybody except Germans ect. He wanted to be "in command" for once. He actually wanted to be an artist, (no seriously he did). But his father wouldn't let him. i'm not sure if that was exactly why he wanted to kill everyone but i know he wanted to be in control, he wanted to be the best. (hence all the copy-cat buildings from the Romans he built during his time, that were bigger, "better" then everyone else also hence the aryan (sp?) race, the best there is blonde, blue eyes, strong. in his mind anyway. i think his sister was afraid to, i'm sure he would have killed her if she got in his way, i'd probably shut up too, for a little while anyway then i'd shoot him myself and end the "bs" he was doing.
well hope i helped or answered your question
p.s sorry for the rambling lol

If Hitler came from a Jewish family, chances are he wouldn't have decided to believe that they were impure.
Although, I have heard that he did have a Jewish grandmother or something, but I'm not positive, you'd have to look that up.

How can anyone provide an intelligent response to this question?? It would be speculation. We will never know, so why even ask? Maybe Paula was in agreement with Adolf. Who knows??

If his whole family were Jews, that means that he would be Jewish too. I don't know if he would have all the others killed, but he did kill himself. Maybe he suspected that he did have a little Jewish blood.

I heard he actually was a little Jewish and he killed himself in 1945. I don't know if that was the reason of his suicide.
