I am a girl, so i do pluck them, never had a problem with ingrowns before. The last month or two seems like every hair i pluck is coming back ingrown. Any tips to help stop this from happening?

Exfoliation is the key.

1) Stop plucking your brows for a while. At least 5-7 days, depending on how quickly your brows grow.

2) Exfoliate the delicate skin around your brow bone gently by:
- using a warm, damp wash cloth every morning & evening to open the pores & clear away dead skin cells
- using a cotton pad saturated w/ witch hazel
- using Aveeno Positively Radiant Daily Cleansing Pads. Each pad has a smooth side & a textured side. Use the smooth side if you have sensitive/thin skin. Use the textured side very gently if you need a bit more exfoliation.

3) As your brows grow out - brush them through w/ an old, clean mascara brush or a spoolie.

4) After the hairs have cleared the surface a good bit, apply a warm face cloth to open the pores before you start to pluck. You can also pluck them after a warm shower.

5) Consider getting new tweezers w/ an excellent grip so you pluck the hair completely by the root. Do not try to pick out ingrown hairs - you risk scarring.

Many guys have the same thing happen to them, and most just shave it off with a razor. I do it whenever I shave my face -- just a quick swipe between the eyebrows and voila! No more unibrow. It's so common that I wouldn't get to worried about it. Apparently plucking is unnecessary in your case and is causing you problems that could easily be avoided. As for the ingrown hairs, an ingrown hair often heals on its own. However, in the case of chronic ingrown hairs, treatment may include: allow the hair to grow longer depilatory (to remove the hair) electrolysis (to remove the hair)

I had a similar problem when I tried a salon that did eyebrow threading.

I bought Pond's Pore Strips and with a bright halogen desk lamp, I was able to remove the ingrown hairs.

You might want to stop tweezing and start going to a salon to have them waxed once a month.

That's what I always did before. Waxing lasts longer than tweezing and you can always remove/tweeze any stray hairs in between.

You might consider getting new tweezers. I don't know if that is the culprit.

Use a small brush to gently rub and exfoliate the area when you wash your face. This should help.
