My thoughts create my world

2007-06-05 04:43:06 · answer #1 · answered by Anonymous · 1 0

The details of my life are quite inconsequential... very well, where do I begin? My father was a relentlessly self-improving boulangerie owner from Belgium with low grade narcolepsy and a penchant for buggery. My mother was a fifteen year old French prostitute named Chloe with webbed feet. My father would womanize, he would drink. He would make outrageous claims like he invented the question mark. Sometimes he would accuse chestnuts of being lazy. The sort of general malaise that only the genius possess and the insane lament. My childhood was typical. Summers in Rangoon, luge lessons. In the spring we'd make meat helmets. When I was insolent I was placed in a burlap bag and beaten with reeds- pretty standard really. At the age of twelve I received my first scribe. At the age of fourteen a Zoroastrian named Vilma ritualistically shaved my testicles. There really is nothing like a shorn scrotum... it's breathtaking- I highly suggest you try it.

"I'm writing this by the light of a new day, with pen on paper, the old way. No seamless corrections possible here. I want to see my first thoughts, and the words I cross out, and the words I choose to replace them... ...First thoughts are usually lies... ...Write something about yourself, then write the opposite. Then open your mind to the possibility that the second statement is true." The book: The Society of Others by: William Nicholson This isn't necessarily my all time favorite quote but it is one that I liked and remembered off the top of my head.

"I am afraid that just because I have a white beard and sit in the back of the theater that someone will expect me to them some truth about something. People, these are the cheap seats, not Mount Sinai."

I have 2:

1. She flies with her own wings
2. Life is not measured by the number of breathes we take, but by the number of moments that take our breath away.

What ever the mind of MAN can CONCEIVE, and BELIEVE, it can ACHIEVE.
--------------------------------------------------------------------
You get what you want in this World by making it happen, not waiting for it to come to you.
------------------------------------------------------------
It's not where you start out, but the Decisions you make about where you're Determined to end up that matter.
---------------------------------------------------------------
Anybody can wish for riches, and most people do, but only a few know that a definite plan, plus a burning desire for wealth, are the only dependable means of accumulating wealth.
--------------------------------------------------
There are no limitations to the Mind except those we acknowledge.
---------------------------------------------------
We are what we think. All that we are arises with our thoughts . With our thoughts, we make our World.
The Budda
