my mom told me that there is a myth that says if you tan out in the sun, then shave your legs, u will lose a lot of your tan. is that true? dont be harsh

Nope. I was a lifegaurd. I would have never had tanned legs if that were true.

I'm pretty sure that's a myth, although I've never heard of it.
Maybe from shaving you get rid of dark hairs or exfoliate the top layer of skin making it look like you've lost your tan.

But that's not really losing your tan. So I'm saying this is deffinately a myth. Shaving won't remove the (natural) chemicals from your skin that make you tan.

Not true. Shaving your leg hair can make your legs appear slightly more pale because of the absence of hair, but it won't affect the underlying tan.

Only under the hairs, where they are shaded.
So not that much really.
Tell your Mom (mum or mam) to buy a

I suppose it's possible since you can take the very outermost layer of skin cells off by shaving.

i think thats true, thats why men usually try to shave before going to the beach. Because if you don't and shave afterwards half of your face will be of different color.
