At Jesus Christ birth, It is recorded in the Bible that the wise men from the east saw the star and recognised that a king was born. Does this mean there is a star for each person and do stars signify a person's destiny or what they would become.

Definitely no, because the study behind the theory that stars signify a person's birth or even their destiny is the study of astrology which is, until now, has no solid evidences to support all of the theories and practises in it. Besides, why must our destiny must lie upon a ball of hydrogen in space.

No. A person's birth is roughly determined by the date of conception, and their destiny is determined by their conduct. The stars have nothing to do with it. The birth of Christ is a unique event which occurred as described in the Bible and there was a star on that occasion.

The stars in the sky resembled a chalice, and a shooting star lead the maji men to the birth place of New born Christ. Only vague info is found in the OT you have to search for works written by saints who received revelations from Christ to find out more. People who say that this is a pagan story can't back up their claims with a true messiah being born. There is only 1 messiah and that's Christ. He is a real person who existed, and we have our current bible that turns sinners into saints if they follow the directions of God, what more proof does anyone need? Paganism is a fairytale don't base it off reality.

A lot of people believe that the stars and planets have an effect on their lives, no harm in that but my way of seeing things rules this out. We are responsible for our own destinies, if you overlook this fact you are apt to a hard later life.

No, they do not. And even if they did, there is no one who can say he or she knows how to interpret them.
Astrology is ancient mysticism. It was almost happily defunct until the age of mass media and what I would have to call intellectual liberalism. (BTW, I am more of a liberal than a conservative.) It is discouraging to me to think that in this golden age of discovery and reason, things like astrology are still so popular. No, it doesn't work. It's nonsense.
