on the plaza in front of the Notre-Dame cathedral, you have the "Point Zéro" (the Zero Spot ?) from which are calculated all the distances on the French roads and maps...
(hmm... is that understandable ? LOL)
well, if you're at 20 kilometers from Paris, you actually are at 20 km from the Point Zéro.
