Foundation as a base helps. Also avoid glossy lipstick which normally can comes off faster than matte. After the first layer, put a tissue on your lips to dry it a little, then apply another layer.

This is what the makeup artists do...

First of all, use lip liner, it will keep your lipstick from bleeding outside the lip line.

Secondly, Apply one coat of lipstick, put half a layer of tissue over your lips and dust on a coat of powder over the tissue on to the lip, it will help your lipstick stay on longer.

It is best to use this method instead of "long lasting" lipsticks, because they can dry out your lips.

First, exfoliate your lips with a toothbrush. this will get rid of dead skin that dosn't let lipstick last as long. then try puting concealer or a primer on your lips. apply your lipstick with a brush. this makes the lipstick last longer and it looks 10X better. apply a bit of lip gloss on top.

you can also try a lip stain, which stays on ALL DAY, no matter what

Give the lipstick something to stick too; so apply some foundation on your lips prior to application. Afterwards use lip liner to keep your lipstick from feathering and you'll be good to go.

Try topping it with a loose powder, or using a powder (or foundation) as a base on your lips. Try some stay-color lipsticks, like MAC. Or She-Lac is available from Benefit, and it keeps everything on your face for hours, it just may get sticky.

Get a lip exfoliate then apply a lip sealer (it is clear like chapstick) apply lipstick then lipstick sealer or just buy a higher quality long lasting lipstick (one you have to use remover to take off) Good Luck!

try a different lipstick....but also definitely put powder on you're face even you're lips then put the lipstick...then maybe a little gloss.....the powder really helps it to stay on and the lip gloss also.
