Is it worth buying a Direct X 10 Graphics card now?

I have vista and i wonder if it is worth buyin a Direct X 10 card or buy a dirext X 9 Graphics card. That being said Direct X 9 was released in 2003 i think... and I have heard that investing into old technology is not worth it, no matter the price, since it will become obsolete quickly.eg buyin a AGP motherboard...

Yes, if you are a hardcore gamer who want to play the latest games as soon as they are out, otherwise, wait for it to become cheaper.

DirectX 10 is just around the corner, and yes, its always better to get a card from current generation of card then yesteryear's card.

How this card performs in DirectX 10 is still a question, but it certainly is more faster and efficient then last generation of cards.

no it not worthy to buy dx10 card because your eyes wont see the the differences between dx9 and dx10

i dont think all game look nice under dx10.there is some like
crysis and flight x simulator very nice under dx10 but call of juarez i did'nt see the benefit dx10

so dont buy any 8500,8600

but you can buy 8800 because because it awesome in almost game(dx9 and dx10 too)
