I am not sure if you would consider me an expert lol but I try. Most geckos have different temperature needs compared to Water dragons. And water dragons are aboreal (they are climber and spen most their time up high) and geckos aren't (except the crested gecko) The water dragon will get big to, up to 3 feet and you dont want the tiny gecko becoming lunch. And all reptiles are very territorial and solitary animals. They live alone in the wild except coming together for breeding or if there is a low food source. Other wise they stay alone. They will fight and one (most likely the gecko) will get hurt, BADLY. House them seperately. You don't want to risk it. Good Luck!

No. The water dragon will eat the gecko at some point.

It is sometimes best to keep reptiles of the same species in separate enclosures. When you have two different species, particularly when there is a significant size difference, you are asking for trouble if you keep them together.

Many lizards are very territorial. You don't say what kind of gecko you are considering (a tokay So even if the larger one is not carnivorous, it may attack the smaller one that is infringing on its territory.

As has already been noted, the dragon and the gecko have different environmental requirements, so housing them together is not advisable. Besides, with separate enclosures, you will have an opportunity to "decorate" appropriately to show each specimen in a natural-looking habitat.

Good luck.

I don't think so thee gekko might become food for the other one. Best to ask where you bought them. They'll know and offer you good advice
