Are we slowly achieving World Government?

Europe's Common Market has become the European Union and is expanding. That seems to be a step in that direction.

On the other hand The Soviet Empire broke up (but some of its former members are seeking to join the European Union).

Good question; difficult answer. My guess is yes, but it is a slow process as you indicate, and will still take many generations to achieve, and probably in ways neither NWO advocates or critics can foresee. A lot of fear, superiority complexes, and hatred has to be overcome first. It will also be necessary that the world isn't destroyed by nukes or some new lethal weapon that is yet to be devised.

By the time it happens, we may be back to square one with societies that have settled on other planets or large moons.

We appear to be headed that direction, but a more likely scenario is increased war and killing spreading over more of the globe. The majority of people on this planet would be satisfied to live and let live, but there are some who are not satisfied with that, and are determined to control and dominate other people. For this reason, ongoing war is inevitable. Therefore world government could not be fully achieved even it it was desirable.

No, but we are achieving world trade or global businesses. It is more likely to happen through global businesses putting pressure on government than by any willingness on the part of politicians.
In fact we would probably have a more stable world if we handed it over to businesses than leave it in the hands of politicians. They wouldn't want nuclear weapons as that would be bad for business, plus they would use the resources of countries which are now being bankrupt by corrupt leaders.

We've been slowly working toward it. Pretty much every president has made a speech on a world government. It will speed up here soon, and be implemented. Just have to wait for people to cry out in need of "safety and peace".

heading there but its not going to happen in any of our lifetimes unless a large number of people in positions of power are shot,

None of those ruling countries at this time want to be part of a world government as they wont be in charge of it and suspect that X Y Z would

Only two countries and one powerbloc have the capacity to form a nucleus of a world government

America - No arab country , Russia, China or probably Europe would accept it, the American political party that proposed it would loose the next election because the American people wouldnt want to be lumped in with everyone else

China - America wont accept it, Europe unlikly to, most of China's neighbours probably not either, Russia No, that said if the party said they were going to try at least for the most part the people would go with it,

Europe - America, Russia and China all say no, shortly followed by some Arab nations and most of the former colonies of Europe

Hell half the people of Europe arnt to happy about a one europe consititution let alone a government or world government

No, I'm afraid not. With all of the vested interests and vetoes as in the UN, all we would get is indecision throughout the world.

There is no such thing as 6.5 Billion consensus votes.

The could however be a World Dictatorship.

i think of it incredibly is simply by fact the situation of humanity floor. As maximum of those third worldwide worldwide places have the extreme by no potential ending socioeconomic problems and in common terms fewer have organic components, the lenders do no longer prefer to invest in mineral or oil exploration and create jobs and bring in vast funds. lots of those third worldwide worldwide places in simple terms preserve living by utilising undemanding agriculture or named as banana republics of inexpensive labour in production. some African worldwide places as quickly as got here approximately the terrible genocide that ended up with tragic thoughts. i think of the worldwide government could grant extra significant help to the debted third worldwide for larger practise at college point and skill guidance classes and enable them to in good condition into the remote places-invested industry. Why could worldwide government forgive the third worldwide debt? What the lenders can get? Blood?
