That's a tough one. I think I would have to travel the world to do a bit of research first.

In the town where I am, except I'd build a new home.
A 4 or 5 bedroom wooden cottage (with fantastic picture windows and great insulation and heating system). Fireplaces in living room and in den. Maybe a skylight so I could see the night time sky. It would be right at the lakeshore, where I could sit at my breakfast nook and watch the waves, the boats going past, etc. Breakwall, to keep the erosion away, and a lovely yard with firepit & picnic area. Sandy beach to play on.

Cornwall. Been going there since I was 2, got married there, conceived my children there. Much slower pace of life, no keeping up with the Jones cos the Jones just don't care!

There's this little house right on the beach on Tenby Harbour. I'd love to live there, on my own, with no kids or dogs and just chill and listen to the waves day and night.

Would love to live near the sea in a warmer climate, Australia would be my first choice, i`m an artist so think somewhere near Sydney would be good for my work.....
